I absolutely loathe when people draw correlations between RL piracy and Eve piracy... >_>
That said just get a good frig, with that toon you should have plenty of SP. Get a good t1 frig or a dessie, go into FW low and go nuts. BYDI recruitment closed-ish |

Piracy in eve is just pvp.
If you try to convince yourself otherwise you're delusional.
The closest you can get to actual piracy is gate camping (And that is mindbogglingly boring) BYDI recruitment closed-ish |

Whitehound wrote:Froggy Storm wrote:Well from a purely philosophical standpoint, nearly ever action in eve is PvP of some form of another. To be completely honest, in terms of money gained and lost at least, station trade PvP is far more fierce than any other form.
That aside the this is Yarr that is Yarr is quite silly and pretentious. At the end of the day if you blow up someone's ship without sticking to some (obnoxious) e-bullshito code of conduct someone is going to say you're a bad person aka YAAR! Yes and no. I agree for most part, but not everything is "e-bullshito" as you call it. Some just seek attention and wrap it into a pirate costume for more effect. This is what I would call "e-bullshito", too. However, others grieve the hell out of noobs, are being despised and hated for having a petty game play, but these players are actually closer to true piracy than anyone else in EVE. Other game plays are closer to terrorism than to piracy. And role-playing white knights can easily find themselves labelled as a "religious, militant sect".
Sorry let me clarify
you're perfectly within your rights to be a silly bugger and roleplay yourself as a pirate screaming YARR at any oppertunity.
However, silly rp fluff aside, what most people call pirates in eve are just dedicated pvpers. BYDI recruitment closed-ish |

Froggy Storm wrote:Troll being the active word.
As for mains or not it is often in peoples best interest to keep the activities of their characters obfuscated. Where people will often call one and other out for posting with an alt, it is still an important tactic used both for trolls and for players both.
Debate people for their words. Show where you feel they are wrong. But don't put of a straw man argument that since the posting name doesn't have a perfect isk efficiency they can't know what they are talking about.
Hell I am terrible at applying what I know (believe I know) about frigate fights. But that doesn't mean I should be completely discounted off the bat if my parrot says the right things ;)
If you don't have enough faith in your words to back them up with with your main you can be pretty safely ignored from any arguement..
Also isk efficiency is for twats, he has 2 kills and 10 losses, i would rather take pvp advice from someone with 10 kills and 500 losses. Especially seeing how most of those losses are shitfits.
In this case yes you should be ignored, because if you havn't done pvp you shouldn't be piping into a conversation about pvp since you clearly don't know **** about it. BYDI recruitment closed-ish |
